It is dedicated to Rhoda, a sassy 84 year old woman I was a care giver for in Watsonville this year. My thoughts are with her right now because she’s been in the hospital with pneumonia. Hope you feel better soon Rhoda Roo!
UPDATE:
GOOD NEWS! She just got out of the hospital and aside from needing to up her physical therapy she’s fine!

This is Rosaura Johnson speaking… I am one of the founders of Cameoland and the artist behind all of the fun caricatures and artwork to come!
SO… WHAT IS CAMEOLAND?
Inquiring minds want to know!
Cameoland is a new company being built from the ground up by Rosaura Johnson (artist/social media mistress/brainstormer) and Maher Hakim (Techie/business genius).
It will be a website (Cameoland.com) and a Facebook App that will allow you to create profile pictures & ecards for FREE! You’ll also be able to buy printed cards with your images, hand drawn cards, and other custom hand illustrated artwork!
I will be drawing, painting and photoshopping templates around the clock that you will be able to pop your photo into! Just like the wooden cut outs you’d find at a carnival or boardwalk ~ but online!
You will also be able to order hand drawn illustrations on the website- but for now while it is under construction you can do that here- Cameoland.Etsy.com!
Here are some examples of the FREE templates:
And here are some examples of people who ‘GOT CAMEOED’

And here are examples of the fully illustrated Cameo Caricatures:

I foresee a lot of 5AM coffee-fueled nights working in my studio soon!
There is a lot of work to be done, and TONS of other ideas in the works (probably too many!) We just need to figure out a way to increase the hours in the day!
But for now we’re working hard and can’t wait to see what we create.
Any ideas for templates or styles, comments and constructive criticisms are welcomed here with open arms so by all means let us know what you think!
